Description
The Diagnostic Imaging Registered Nurse (DIRN), is responsible for delivery of patient care under the administrative leadership of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging, the Radiologists, and the Nursing Coordinator of Diagnostic Imaging. The DIRN will: • manage and coordinate nursing care in the Diagnostic Imaging Department • demonstrate leadership abilities • possess ability to make decisions and initiate actions under stressful and critical situations • exhibit comprehensive knowledge of nursing theory and practice • act as a resource person for personnel for the various hospital departments when applicable • display a positive, professional, courteous, attitude • insert PICC Lines • Follow written and verbal instructions This position must exhibit initiative, function independently, have excellent nursing judgment, critical thinking skills, memory for details, and have the patience, compassion and tact as required to meet the ever changing demands of the position.

The Secretary will correspond with individuals of various professional levels via phone, e-mail and in person and perform other duties as necessary. The secretary will provide support to the Director of Quality, QCM, and Tumor Registration, as directed by the Vice-President of Medical Affairs.
