Ohio's Child Restraint Law
Infant: Rear facing, in an infant or Convertible Safety Seat until at least one year of age AND at least 20 pounds.
Child: Convertible Safety Seat or Booster Seat until at least 40 pounds.
Child: Over 40 pounds and under age 4, Shield or Belt Positioning Booster seat.
The above law pertains to the owner of the vehicle, parents, guardians, friends, neighbors, relatives, schools, or day care centers.
