Clinical Positions

CANCER CENTER – PATIENT ACCOUNTS REPRESENTATIVE, FULL TIME

The Patient Accounts Rep serves as the primary resource for obtaining and monitoring medical necessity and pre-authorizations to ensure account collectibles for cancer and supportive services. Utilizes ICD-10 and CPT coding hospital approved automated tools to accurately assign diagnoses and procedure codes for medical necessity for billing purposes. Maintains strong working knowledge of authorization requirements from CRCC primary payers as well as state and regulatory guidelines for coverage. Also serves as back up for registration and scheduling.

Minimum qualifications:

  1. Associate Degree or equivalent.
  2. Knowledge of computer applications required. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook.
  3. High degree of skill in interpersonal relations with the ability to deal effectively on a one-to-one and group basis with physicians, nursing staff, administration, and other hospital departments.

Preferred Experience and/or Education:

  1. Minimum two (2) years medical insurance verification and authorization.
  2. Billing and/or coding experience preferred. Experience with personal health records, patient histories, medical terminology, evaluation and management coding.
  3. 1 year Medical Oncology or Radiation Oncology Office Experience
  4. Associates Degree in Healthcare or equivalent.
  5. Knowledge of SEORMC computer applications preferred: Meditech, Craneware and/or ePremis.

PHYSICIAN OFFICES - LPN OR MEDICAL ASSISTANT PART-TIME

The Medical Assistant / LPN will be regularly scheduled 20 hours a week in a Primary Care / Family Medicine physician office.

This position will assist providers in coordinating patient care, and function as a primary liaison between patients, families, staff and providers. This position will also work as a receptionist in the office. This position will primarily work at one practice site.

Duties may include:

  • Maintain all exam rooms, lab, patient bathroom, and medical supply room
  • Prepare all exam rooms and assist physician
  • Obtain and note necessary information and vitals in chart
  • Schedule x-rays, labs, test or referrals to other physicians
  • Assist physician in performing office-based procedures, including set up and take down
  • Answer phones
  • Schedule appointments
  • Cross train to work the front desk

Qualification:

  • HS Diploma
  • CMA certification or LPN licensure
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Medical terminology knowledge
  • Ability to communicate effectively

EMT’s respond to emergency calls to provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured, and transport the patient to a medical facility. Must have a basic understanding of stress response and methods to ensure personal well-being. EMT’s must function within the scope of care as defined by state, regional and local regulatory agencies.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid state EMT Certification/EMS license
  • CPR Certification 
  • Clean driving record that complies with AMR Safety and Driving policy
  • One or more years of EMT experience preferred.

Paramedics are responsible for responding to emergency medical calls, providing on-site aid and transporting patients safely to medical facilities. They are expected to assess patients’ conditions and implement first-aid procedures. Additional duties include maintaining equipment, filing reports and transporting patients between hospitals.
