Patient / Family Education
During your stay, you will receive a patient/family education folder, which
includes health information and instructions to meet your individualized care
needs.
TV
The medical center has its own in-house patient education television channel.
Tune to channel 37 for an on-screen program guide.
Library
The health resource library is available for use by patients and families, Monday
through Friday, 8am to 4pm. For more information, call extension 8168.
Classes
A variety of wellness classes are available at the medical center and
Community HealthLink. These include Childbirth, Sibling, Stress
Management, Stop Smoking
and Weight Management. Check with your nurse or call Community HealthLink at
432-LINK for a listing of available classes.
Senior VIP
Sponsored by Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Senior VIP is available to area residents age 55 or older. The program is designed to promote safety,
security and wellness.
Senior VIP members receive discounts in the medical center cafeteria and
Auxiliary gift shop, health screenings, exercise programs and newsletters. To
enroll in the program, call the Senior VIP Coordinator, Polly McJessy at extension 8187.
Support Groups
Southeastern Med offers classes and support groups for
patients, families and friends. Most sessions are conducted monthly at regularly
scheduled times. Ask your nurse about times and locations for these
sessions, or call Quality Care Management at extension 8117.
