Southeastern Med is being honored in January by the Healthy Business Council of Ohio for utilizing healthy worksite practices.

Now in their 15th year, the Healthy Worksite Awards celebrate Ohio employers who demonstrate a commitment to employee wellness through comprehensive worksite health promotion and wellness programs.

Southeastern Med, Dickens Village and Tux & Stuff have joined together in 2018 to offer the first annual “No Shave November” Men’s Health Month celebration.

CAMBRIDGE, OHGuernsey Health Systems announced today that they have voted to enter into a five-year management agreement with OhioHealth Corporation to provide leadership and daily management for Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center beginning October 10th.

Through the agreement, OhioHealth will provide management oversight for the hospital and three senior leadership positions, while Southeastern Med will remain fully independent. The Guernsey Health Systems and the Southeastern Med boards will retain fiduciary responsibility and decision making authority for the hospital.

High school students interested in careers in the medical field are invited to register for Southeastern Med’s Medical Explorers program.

Medical Explorers offers students in grades 9-12 the opportunity to learn about a variety of careers in medicine directly from healthcare professionals and participate in hands-on activities designed to help them get acquainted with a specific part of the medical field.

The cost to participate is $36 per student, which includes three monthly learning sessions.
