The 2017 Christmas season is upon us, and few cities in Ohio celebrate the holiday as well as Cambridge. In fact, the website Only In Your State ranks Cambridge as one of the Top 10 Christmas cities in the state!
Below are just some of the activities taking place in Cambridge from now through the New Year.
Dickens Victorian Village
Historic Downtown Cambridge transforms into a classic Victorian Village, depicting more than 80 scenes from Charles Dickens’ classic novels. Visitors can stroll down Wheeling Ave. between 6th St. and 11th St. to see these scenes depicted by more than 160 life-size mannequins dressed in 1850s clothing.
Courthouse Light Show
More than 30,000 lights cover the courthouse and surrounding landscape for this one-of-a-kind Christmas light show. The pulsating lights are accompanied by classic Christmas songs. Four different shows are performed repeatedly each evening from 5:30 pm to 9 pm The light shows run now through December 31st. Click here for a preview of what to expect.
Miracle on 34th St.
Head to the Cambridge Performing Arts Center to watch local actors bring this classic Christmas story to life the weekends of December 1-3 and December 8-10. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students.
National Museum of Cambridge Glass
To go along with the Dickens Victorian Village, the museum is decorated for the holiday while volunteers and staff members wear Victorian attire. From now until December 18th, the museum will be open on Saturday and Sunday.
