Room Services
Mail
Hospital volunteers deliver mail to patients each day. Any mail received after
discharge will be forwarded to your home address.
Newspaper
Newspapers are available at the first floor lobby entrance. You may request The
Daily Jeffersonian, Columbus Dispatch, or USA Today.
Flowers
Volunteers make flower deliveries throughout the day.
Hospitality Cart
Each weekday between 2 and 4pm, the Auxiliary circulates a Hospitality Cart
throughout the medical center for the bedside shopping convenience of our
patients. The cart offers reading materials and selected items from the gift
shop.
Telephones
Local calls -- To place a local outside call, dial '9' plus the number.
Long distance calls -- An operator can assist you in making a long distance
call. Dial '0' and tell the medical center operator how you want your call
billed (Southeastern Med uses AT&T as its long distance carrier).
Television
A variety of programming is available in all rooms. To change the channel on
your television, use the TV control unit on the railing of your bed. Cable
services is provided by the medical center Auxiliary.
