Your community hospital has been voted a 4-star hospital for patient experience based on Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) new rating system.

We’ve received this great feedback from patients like you for four consecutive quarters now, and we’re one of just 47 hospitals in Ohio to receive this designation!

The survey conducted by CMS is administered to a random sample of adult patients across medical conditions between 48 hours and six weeks after their discharge from the hospital.

The survey contains 21 patient perspectives on care and patient rating items that encompass nine key topics:

  • Communication with doctors
  • Communication with nurses
  • Responsiveness of hospital staff
  • Pain management
  • Communication about medicines
  • Discharge information
  • Cleanliness of the hospital environment
  • Quietness of the hospital environment
  • Transition of care

As you can see, a lot goes into the creation of a great patient experience!
