Prostate Cancer Treatment in Cambridge
Southeastern Med is the only hospital in Southeastern Ohio that offers minimally invasive cryoablation treatment for prostate cancer, and we use the same equipment as Cleveland Clinic.
We also provide radiation treatment for prostate cancer. Both treatments can be performed on an outpatient basis at our Cambridge, Ohio location.
But you can’t treat prostate cancer if you can’t diagnose it. Since prostate cancer has no symptoms, early diagnosis is key to a successful outcome. Dr. Cliff Maximo, Southeastern Med urologist and Associate of the American College of Surgeons, is diagnosing prostate cancer at a rate of 80% YTD. The annual national average is 25%.
Talk to your primary care physician about an annual prostate health exam, or contact Dr. Maximo’s office at (740) 439-8839 to make an appointment.
Enlarged Prostate Treatment in Cambridge
For men experiencing trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostate, Southeastern Med offers GreenLight PVP Laser Surgery. GreenLight PVP Laser Surgery is a minimally invasive outpatient procedure that uses laser technology to create a channel in the urethra to make urination easier and less uncomfortable. This option, while not right for every patient, is lower-risk than conventional procedures and offers a faster recovery time.
Dr. Maximo also offers thermotherapy treatment, an in-office procedure which uses microwave technology to shrink the prostate.
