It is a struggle itself to move from India to here. My father passed away when I was 18 years old. My mother and my brothers helped me thru college and medical school. I graduated with honors from medical school. I trained in Pediatrics in New York City at St. Vincent’s Hospital. I was Chief Resident in my last year of Training. I am Board Certified in Pediatrics, and a member of AAP, Ohio Chapter.
I worked about 20 years as a pediatrician at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney, Ohio. I also worked at Lorain County Health and Dentistry (LCHD)as a Pediatrician for about 4-5 years.
I have much interest in Growth and Development of children. I like to see them grow, change, get good education and prosper in their lives.
I am married and have three children. My oldest daughter is an Architect. My younger daughter is training to become a dentist in Portland, Oregon. My son is studying at CWRU for Mechanical Engineering.
Recently, the Coronavirus pandemic has taught me many things. One’s health is the most important asset a person has. It is a gift from God. So do not waste life in things like smoking, drugs, or alcohol. Also there is another pandemic going on in the world. That is obesity, diabetes and hypertension. When I was at LCHD, I did extra study in PMP(Parenting at Mealtime & Playtime). Please teach children to eat Healthy foods. AAP has 5-2-1-0 plan for all kids.
5 servings of Fruits and Vegetables.
2 hours or less of screen time
1 hour of exercise
0 sugar drinks
I think, if everyone follows this rule they will not suffer obesity, diabetes.
